?—Do I get the digital files
!—Yes, all the full resolution cropped and color adjusted jpegs in all their glory. Most couples are receiving between 500-700 finished images with a 10 hour package.
?—Do you work with an assistant.
!—Yes, and she’s great. In addition to being a second photographer throughout the day and managing equipment, she knows the seven secret arts of bustling the dress, pinning boutonnieres on the guys and most always has a tissue for the mother of the bride.
?–What kind of equipment do you use.
!—Cannon. With a full complement of lenses and backups for the backups.
?—When do we get the images.
!—Most couples are seeing their website with images, slideshow, and album design in 3-4 weeks. It’s that fast. Image discs are delivered with the album or sooner.
?—Great. When do we meet.
!– I prefer to meet with clients in person. If we decide to work together on your wedding, we’ll most likely meet once before the wedding for your engagement session and also about a month before your wedding date to polish up your itinerary. For clients at a distance, phone and skype work great.
?—OK, we want you.
!—Wonderful. One half of your package will secure your date with a retainer.
?—Do you travel?
!—I love to travel. I’ve covered weddings in Mexico, Canada, California and beyond. Since Seattle/Bellingham is my home turf, I’ve also photographed many Northwest destination weddings throughout the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. The fee for travel is ‘at cost’ for transportation by plane/train/ferry/skiff/elephant as well as lodging. Email for a quote.
?—Do you do ‘Day After’ shoots.
!—For destination events, couples prefer them and I love shooting them.
?—Do you want a shot list.
!—For family members, yes. I don’t want to forget anyone. Beyond that, regimented picture lists lead to regimented pictures. Trust the process.
