Clinton’s final products reflect his passion for his art. Clinton shot our engagement and wedding photos. Both told a beautiful story. Beyond the hundreds of spectacular pictures, I greatly appreciated Clinton’s ability to communicate with me, my husband, and the rest of the wedding party. Specifically, I remember during the wedding party pictures, he narrated the story he wanted to portray in each shot; this helped all of us know the purpose of the photo. The end result was awesome! Additionally, during the ceremony and reception, I rarely even noticed him. He captured intimate moments without interrupting them. I will recommend Clinton to any couple getting married; he’s that great. Finally, Clinton’s rate is worth every penny. He provided 1.5 hours for our engagement session and 10 hours the day of the wedding. 10 hours! That’s hard to find. Do yourself a favor: book Clinton as your photographer.

Chris’ mom passed last year, my dad has passed since then as well, but even then – it was my brother who walked me down the isle [….] That day in the cenotes was truly magical. I felt like a bonafide movie star! We still call you the ninja of photography – you were everywhere and no where – it was such an honor to work with you!! I will never forget that one picture coming out of the cenote, little do people know – I was soaking wet! I was trying to climb out and not kill myself and you said “Freeze – don’t move!!” – low and behold, that pic was born!! 🙂 One of these days, we would love to get you back over here for some cool family pictures – maybe with the whole crew again. Clinton photographed our wedding. From the very beginning he was very prompt about getting back to me with any questions or concerns I had. The day of the wedding he was absolutely wonderful. He kept everybody calm and organized in all of the chaos. He made everybody feel comfortable and paid close attention to detail while shooting. After the wedding he was incredibly quick at editing and getting all of our photos back to us and even threw in a beautifully done sideshow within 2 weeks of the wedding. I would highly recommend Clinton and would hire him again in a second.

Clinton James is amazing! Roche Harbor Resort was our wedding venue and all the other vendors would ask who we chose for a photography. When I told them Clinton James, the feedback was unanimous, “Oh he’s the best!” I concur with their remarks as well! Clinton was always responsive, extremely helpful with followup and captured all the amazing moments. For the family photos he gave great direction to everyone and the wedding party photos were super creative and fun! Having Clinton as our photographer was the best decision we made!

Clinton is an exceptional photographer! Clinton did our wedding at the Roche Harbor Resort. I don’t know how he did it, but he captured every single important moment and I didn’t eve see him to it! All of a sudden BAM he’s there. You name it we have them all and they are all perfect. The BEST part is we had ALL our photos in 2 days!!!! Before we even left on our honeymoon we had the photos in hand, just amazing. Photography was one of the most important things to me at my wedding and Clinton went above and beyond my expectations. He sent me a whole timeline and shared document before the event, which was great for me because I am a visual person. He coordinated the photo schedule with all other vendors so all I had to do was show up and get told where to go. He made my husband and I feel so at ease, and he captured amazing photos that looked natural and fun. He does not do a lot of staged shots which I loved, he mostly watched how we interacted and captured the sweetest moments. He is big on lighting so he made sure the lighting was right in each shot. I loved how he arranged a specific time in our day to also do family photos, with a big family like ours that to me that was going to be daunting, but he knew exactly how to lead the crowd and get right down to business. We now have wonderful family photos, my mother is so happy. I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you Clinton!

We found Clinton while clicking through the countless websites of wedding photographers in the greater Seattle area. Something about his photos just resonated with my husband and I – the lighting, the framing, the moments that were captured in each shot seemed to tell a story that emotionally affected me. We knew right away that this was the way we wanted our photos to look and feel. After much more research, we decided to meet with Clinton to view more of his work and get a sense of whether or not he would be a good choice to work with.
Clinton was great at responding quickly and we soon set up a meeting in person where he was very professional, laid back, relaxed, and prepared. Again, we knew this was the photographer we wanted so we hired him for both an engagement session and our wedding day. He was very helpful answering all questions along the way and really captured exactly what we envisioned for our engagement session. We couldn’t wait to see what he would capture on our wedding day.
Again, leading up to the big day, Clinton was very thorough and reviewed with me in detail the shots that we wanted. On the day of, he worked efficiently with our timeline and the other vendors. Needless to say, the whole day went perfectly. Clinton and his assistant were professional from beginning to end and really proved to be completely capable of capturing the biggest day of our lives. Our photographs are stunning and I am so happy that we chose to work with him. If you wish to have beautiful pieces of art to reflect on your big day and remember all the details and emotional moments, Clinton is the way to go.

Clinton and his assistant were perfect for us. We looked at a few different photographers, but I just loved the feel and look of his pictures. And, when we met him in person, we were sold. He is very professional and knowledgeable – and has the portfolio to prove it. He’s got the artistic vision, the ability to just kind of go under the radar and the eye needed for capturing weddings. He, in our opinion, was a great value- there’s none of that charge-per-picture stuff, and he gives you the rights to your pictures so you can do essentially what you want. We got over 600 pictures from him. He’s also really good with people. We had 10 kids in our wedding, which to some could be a daunting task- but we all got a kick out of watching him task the kids with something silly- like touching their ears (oh my, we got the most darling pictures of all our nieces and nephews!). But it wasn’t just kids- he helped to kindly get people to do what was needed, only stepping in when he needed to (think hair, stance, etc) and it shows. We will treasure the story that Clinton captured for the rest of our lives – everything turned out perfect! Can’t imagine having anyone else.

Finding a photographer is so personal. Yet, when I looked at Clinton James’ photography for the first time, I felt like I knew the couple, as though I was being told their story through photography. Clinton’s photo-journalistic style was a perfect match for me and my fiancé. We planned a wedding 2 states away from our venue, which had the potential to be very stressful, but Clinton put me at ease, and I had complete confidence in him. He worked with our budget which was a huge help. Thanks also to his assistant Kevin who was a great second photographer. The entire process, from first contacting Clinton, to setting up a FaceTime meeting to kick things off, to our in-person meeting closer to our wedding date were easy, constructive and fun! Fast forward to our wedding day and Clinton took our visions, collaborations and put them into his process; what resulted in our end product was our own story of our wonderful wedding day, our personalities and all the feelings that we didn’t know could be captured on film. I would be happy to recommend or work with Clinton again.

Clinton was fantastic to work with as well as provided an excellent product. My husband and I were planning our wedding from SLC and Clinton skyped with us since we were unable to meet with him in person for the initial meet-and-greet, we got a great vibe from him from this conversation and hired him to cover our wedding day festivities. Clinton kept in contact up to the big day, requesting a link to my Pinterst page to get a feeling for what was inspiring our wedding, and talked with me over the phone about details important to us to have captured on film. Once on site Clinton did an awesome job interacting with our guests and captured excellent shots of the everyone and the venue. It only took about 2 and a half weeks to get the pictures back, which we received on a CD with rights to make as many copies as we need.

Clinton is simply amazing – he’s got a great sense of humor that will put you at ease in front of the camera. He made sure we got the engagement photos we wanted and on the day of the wedding there were times I didn’t even know he was there. When we got the photos though, I knew he was there 100% – the pictures he selected captured the essence of the day perfectly. We also wanted a series of posed family photos and his organizational skills and ability to take charge in a friendly way got it done quickly so we could enjoy the important things – like eating and dancing! I highly recommend Clinton.
