Courtney and Anthony had a gorgeous ceremony on Crane Island. We got to take a Cessna over for the ceremony and then back to the Bellwether for the reception while the wedding party went in the "party boat". The location and bride were breathtaking and the wedding party was warm and energetic from the preparations all the way to the last dances. It was a wonderful day to be a part of! Thanks to Anna and Leah of Tart Beauty for their artistry! Steven Moore did a wonderful job with decor and Hannah Atkins, the coordinator, was a joy to work with. Whatcom Sound (DJ) and the Viking Star (guest transportation to and from Bellwether) deserve shout outs as well!
Heather and Graham had a true Northwest Destination wedding on Henry Island in the San Juans. The journey included taxis, ferries, barges and a few guests even arrived in their own boats and camped on the island overnight. The ceremony was damp from rain and from tears of happiness and the mist made for some great images.
Kaylee and Zac are a sweet, fun, golf-loving couple. They laughed all day, even on the alter. During the reception at Shuksan Golf Course we took a couple of golf carts out onto the green for some romantic sunset shots.
Erica and Robert held their ceremony at the Alderbrook Spa on the Hood Canal. As one waiter told us, "Don't even try, you'll never run out of things to take pictures of here". The bride was as gorgeous as the location and the weather was fabulous.
Katie and Adam are a fun, sweet couple that didn't let a bit of rain get them down. Even though we had to take shelter from the downpour under the sky bridge on Western's campus, their positive and adventurous attitudes made for some great pictures. Katie and Adam even got to enjoy a dry ceremony and a beautiful sunset!
Mignonne and John were married in Kelowna, BC. The girls got ready in a beautiful lakeside house and the ceremony was held at the Harvest Golf Club. The sunset was breath-taking and we had a blast taking the couple out in a cart for some solo shots (and luckily avoided the sprinklers).
We had a great time with Kate and Alan up at Semiahmoo. The waterfront ceremony (complete with bagpiper) was gorgeous. We were also convinced that a pair of eight year old guests were soul mates and would be getting married themselves until we discovered they were cousins. One romantic meeting of souls per weekend is plenty.
Leanne and Riley's ceremony at Juntunen Gardens in Mount Vernon was visual breathtaking. The gardens have so many paths, hidden alcoves and manicured lawns surrounded by blooms of every color. And the bride was even more gorgeous than the grounds! Photographing this wedding was almost like taking candy from a baby.
Janon and Vinnie's ceremony at Semiahmoo was a blast. We couldn't have asked for better weather for their seaside marriage.
I'm so excited about posting these images. This fashion shoot was several weeks in the planning and coordinating. And, as with any great plan, the momentum of all the groundwork gains critical mass and takes on a life of its own.
Rebecca and Mike's wedding at Blessed Sacrament.
I was so excited to hear from Lindsey and to hear she was engaged! I met Lindsey and her family met when I photographed her sister Ashley's wedding in Isla Mujeres. Her family was so much fun and so wonderfully welcoming. I really enjoyed getting to know them in Mexico and was excited to reconnect in Pasadena.
